Timmy and his father were running a marathon, all of a sudden, his father collapsed.He was having trouble breathing.

The boy was able to call 911, and tell them what was happening. His father was having more and more trouble breathing.

The fire station got the call, and they hurried to get to Timmy's father to help him.

The paramedics were on their way, sirens blaring. Making their way to Timmy's father.

When they got there, they asked Timmy what happened, and he told them how his father couldn't breath and collapsed while they were running.

The paramedics went over to Timmy's dad and asked him what was going on, and if he has a history of breathing problems.

As the paramedics assessed Timmy's father and saw his signs and symptoms,they were able to figure out he was going in to respiratory arrest.

Respiratory arrest is when your lungs stop performing the way they should, also called apnea, or "the cessation of breathing".

The paramedics explained all this to Timmy, as he was wondering what was happening to his father.
