Krishan brought home her report card.

She was really happy!

She went to show her mom who was sitting at her desk.

It showed all B's.

She said, "Look! Look! I have all B's!" Her mom said, "Great Job, Krishan."

Her little sister, Jeanne said, "Great job big sister!"

Krishan said, "Thanks." But she noticed her mom was holding another report card with Jeanne's name on it.

"You girls did well. Especially, Jeanne. She got all A's" her Mom said.

Jeanne smiled!

Krishan was disappointed.

She walked to her room, sadly.

Aren't B's okay she thought. She said, "I can get all A's too."

Krishan could hear her mom telling Jeanne, "Since, you made all A's, we are going to take you to get ice cream."

Jeanne leapt with joy! "Yes. Ice cream! Ice cream for me!" Jeanne shouted.

Krishan thought out loud, "I could get all A's if..."

"...her little brother was quiet when she did study..."

"...if, her little sister didn't need help pouring milk for her cereal all the time!"

"...If, her dad didn't call her to help with chores."

"...If, her mom didn't call her to get things for her all the time."

"...or, the television didn't have such good shows to watch."

Krishan thought out loud, "Where can I go to study without something distracting me?"

She went to the kitchen but Jeanne was there. 

The next day she came home from school and went into her bedroom but dad was there fixing on something.
