The five most important events in the book The 

Hunger Games are:

1. Katniss volunteers to be a tribute in the annual 

hunger games.

2. Katniss is sent to the capital to be prepped for the 

games.

3. Katniss goes through brief training to be ready for 

the arena.

4. The games begin.

5. Katniss and Peta win the games and go home to 

their district.

The lesson that I learned from this story is 

that I should always fight for what I believe 

in, no matter the consequences.

If I was to describe the main character in this 

book with one word, I would pick the word 

brave. I would pick this word because Katniss 

hunted for her family even though hunting 

was illegal, she volunteers to be the tribute 

for the games instead of her little sister, she 

never gives up in training, she risks her life 

to save others during the game, and she 

eventually wins the hunger games.

I Thought that the most interesting part of the 

book was when Katniss was actually in the 

hunger games. I thought that this was the 

most interesting part because it was very 

suspenseful and hard to predict what would 

happen next.
