I dedicate this book to lil mama.

Hola, I am Walter and I come from the water cycle.
I have been participating in the cycle for billions of years. And, let me tell you it is not easy.

I start out here, in a body of water. These can vary from oceans, lakes, streams, rivers, ponds, and anywhere else water collects.
I can also come from plants leaves and roots. This is called transpiration.

Once the suns energy (Solar Radiation) warms me up i evaporate turn into a gas, in this process I gain kinetic, thermal, and endothermic energy. As I rise towards the clouds I start to cool down and condense back into a water drop. There is a certain temperature at which i turn back into a raindrop and that is called the dew point.

Once I reach the condensation line I grasp onto the condensation nuclei in the air. I then join the rest of my friends and we form a cloud.

Eventually I gain exothermic energy and lose endothermic and kinetic energy. Once the clouds get heavy from all the condensation molecules we all fall as precipitation.

As I fall I hit the side of a mountain and travel down its steep sides, this is called runoff.

From here I can either go into a body of water or I can infiltrate and then percolate. This means to seep into the ground and then run thought the soil. Eventually, then I and the rest of the ground water will reach the roots of a plant and get soaked up this is often referred to as plant uptake. then experience transpiration.
But, My journey chose collection. So, once I took my quick jog down the mountain I ended up in this beautiful lake.
