My name is Reese. I just fell from a cloud in the sky. That may not be normal to you, but because I am a raindrop, I go through this all the time. It is called the water cycle. It happens all the time everywhere. The phase I am in right now is precipitation. I evaporated through the air to get into the cloud. Now let's go further into my journey through the water cycle.

After I rain down from the sky, it is time to take a trip down the mountain. This is one of my favorite parts. This is surface run-off. I like it so much because the mountain is like a giant slide for me.

This stage is the groundwater part. After my ride down the mountain, I slide right into a pond or lake. I then say here until it is time to evaporate.

Instead of just evaporating, I traveled through the ground and found some tree roots. This is called plant uptake. I will then go through the roots until I evaporate through the tree. this process is called transpiration.

Now it is time to form into a cloud. I have to go through a phase change. I will now become a gas or water vapor. I am gaining kinetic energy. This is called evaporation. This process is endothermic too.
