One day, Catie decided she wanted to find some new friends. So, she hopped out of the cupboard to the countertop.

Then, Josie came into the kitchen and was hungry for a snack. That's when she stumbled upon Catie.

"Mmmm, this looks good!" said Josie and gobbled her right up.

This is where she meets some of her new friends, starting with Chip the Tooth.

Chip informs Catie, "The mouth helps break down food through mechanical digestion."

"What is mechanical digestion?" asks Catie.

"Mechanical digestion is when my friends and I chomp up food into smaller pieces without the use of chemicals," said Chip.

"Oh, and let me guess! Chemical digestion is when chemicals in the mouth break down food." Catie exclaimed.

"You're a smart cupcake Catie!

That is exactly what it is!" said Chip.

Chip explained, "So to recap, the mouth uses mechanical digestion, which is breaking down food with force, and chemical digestion, which is breaking down food with chemicals."

"That's amazing!" said Catie.

"There's also three parts that help with chemical digestion. These parts help make saliva, which dissolves food and gets it ready to be digested," said Chip.

"Now you know all about the mouth and the first step in this process we call digestion!" said Chip.

Next, Catie took pharynx path. This lead her to a three way intersection. She could go up, but there was a tree in her way and wouldn't let her go up to nasal street. She couldn't go right because there was a boulder blocking trachea avenue. It was a good thing these roads were blocked because they kept Catie going on the path of digestion and kept her from going where she wasn't wanted.

The path on the left led her down Esophagus Lane, which is exactly where Catie needed to go.

At the end of esophagus lane, the was a gate. This gate makes sure no one or nothing unwanted makes it into Stomach City. Also, the gate makes sure nothing unwanted can make it out of Stomach City.

Catie was allowed through the gate at the end of Esophagus Lane. This led her to Stomach City. In Stomach City, Catie took a relaxing bath with detoxifying bath bombs.

Her bath bombs came in many different kinds. They included pretty Pepsinogin, purple Pepsin, honey Hydrochloric acid(HCL) and maple Mucous. When the pretty Pepsinogin and honey HCl

combine, it creates the purple Pepsin. Then the Pepsin helps detoxify Catie and absorbs her nutrients out of her body. The maple Mucous protects the bathtub from becoming stained and eroding away. The maple mucous also contains chyme.

After her bath, Catie continued on with her journey through the digestive system. She stumbled upon another gate, this one connecting Stomach City to Small Intestineville. This gate help the flow of traffic from Stomach City to Small Intestine-ville. This gate also kept unwanted visitors from Small Intestineville from arriving in Stomach City.

Then, Catie reaches Small Intestineville. She travels down duodenum drive,

jejunum street, and ileum aisle. This town worked together to bring Catie back to her "roots".

Before Catie left Small Intestineville, she passed by some side road. The first path she passes by is a side road called Common Bile Duct Drive. This common Bile Duct Drive is where Pancreas Parkway, Gallbladder Road and Liver Lane meet up. She doesn't go down this path, but she does meet Amy, Libby, Pros, Nicholas, Bill, and many more friends coming from this drive. However, Bill had to go through a

special gate to get there.

They all join Catie in

Small Intestinesville

and help bring her

back to her "roots" again.

All throughout Catie's journey, she has met traffic cops that have been guiding her through her trip of digestion.

Catie soon runs into another gate, this one separating Small Intestineville from Large Intesinopolis. Like all the other gates, this gate keeps unwanted beings from jumping town to town.
