Introduction

What was built in 1909? Was it big? Was it long? Yes! It was the biggest ship of it's time before it sank. The name of the mighty ship was the Titanic.

Building The Titanic

The Titanic was finished in 1912. It took three years to make the Titanic. The Titanic had a sister ship called the Olympic. The company that made these two ships is the White Star Line. The Titanic has 16 water tight compartments. If four flooded, the Titanic would still stay a float. If 5 compartments flooded the Titanic would sink.

Sailing Day

On the Titanic, there are 3 classes, first, second and third classes. Third and first-class are very different. 1st class is very fancy. Third class isn't fancy at all.

Iceberg Ahead

The Titanic was heading toward an iceberg. But they didn't know that. They saw the iceberg. Then they rang the bell 3 times. After they hit the iceberg. The Titanic was filling up with water fast. People were getting into the life boats as the Titanic sank to the bottom of the ocean. The Titanic had a fire in it's hull. The fire helped the Titanic sink.  People in the lifeboats were moving  away from the Titanic. Then the Titanic  split in half. Luggage fell out of the Titanic.
