I dedicate my book to my mother and father for giving me the gift of life.

A long time ago in 1876, there was a Scottish born inventor that had an idea in his head to help his mother and the rest of the deaf community by innovating the telegraph by allowing different frequencies to go through wires.

This invention was called the telephone and this is the story of how Alexander Graham Bell was able to get capital for his product the telephone.

He was first interested in moving different frequencies through wires to allow deaf people to communicate through a harmonic telegraph. Then he became interested in allowing people’s voices to move through wires and could transmit the voices to different lines so they could talk to people without leaving their houses

Hey, yeah I can't believe it I'm talking to you from my living room!
But before the telephone could even be thought of with Samuel Morse’s invention of the telegraph, the technology that went into the telegraph helped Graham figure out how to make the harmonic telegraph which eventually led to his interest in moving people voices through wires.

Another thing that pushed Alexander Graham Bell to invent the telephone was that he had a deaf mother and worked at a deaf school teaching deaf mutes and he really wanted the deaf to be able to communicate

These things helped Alexander Graham Bell come up with the idea for a telephone but he needed people who would invest in him even though no one really thought that they needed a telephone. He needed metal, a transmitter, receiver, and magnet. He tried to get people to invest in him by taking his invention to a public demonstration in philadelphia and he presented the telephone to the emperor of Brazil.
