My Rabbit Lucy
I love you Lucy!
I'll Love you forever...

Here's my story:
I have wanted a rabbit since I was about five. I was a little girl who grew up going to rabbit shows and fairs. I just loved rabbits! One day my Dad said to my mom that I should get a rabbit. My dream came true! One night my mom's phone rang. My mom answered it. She suddenly grabbed a piece of paper and started writing things on it. Things like addresses and directions. At first, I thought it was a call from my brother. Suddenly I noticed it! When she hung up I asked, "Was it?" She said yes. I was so happy. The next day we went to a barn and got my rabbit Lucy.
We saw tons of animals. Then we went into the barn. We saw lots of rabbits. Then we saw the rabbit that we were taking home. After we heard everything they had to say, we took her home and some of my family even came to see the new rabbit!
Important fact:
NEVER give rabbits corn
because it heats up inside them
and they have a good chance
of dying from overheating.

Then, we put her in the cage so she could check it out.
I have a rabbit.
The End.
Well, not the end with the book of course. The End with my story.
Interesting fact:
Rabbits and dogs can get along
really well and rabbits might even
lay in the dogs lap.
Interesting fact:
Rabbits noses
are always in
action. (Rabbits
noses are
always
twitching.)
OK! Lets get on with our facts about Dino's! Wait! Reset! OK! Lets get on with our facts about People! Wait! Reset again! Oh yeah! Rabbits!
So first of all, rabbits are not the most popular pets. I in fact, only know about 1 person in my school that also has a rabbit as well.
About my rabbit
My rabbit's name is Lucy. She is a female (girl) rabbit. Her color is called blue. I don't know why it's called blue because it looks like you would call it grey! Her breed is called a Mini Rex.
My rabbit is definitely spoiled. She has a HUGE outside cage that my Dad built (Dad would not let Lucy live indoors). He built a huge outside and inside section. She even has a heated bed! In the summer we're putting chicken wire around the bottom of the cage. Then Lucy will have 3 sections in her cage!!!

A funny thing is that wild rabbits come near Lucy's cage and eat the hay that has dropped from her cage. So, she probably has wild rabbit friends. We probably won't get another rabbit because we would have to build a wall in the cage. One side for Lucy, and another side for the other rabbit.
Rabbits need to be separated.

We were thinking of getting a Lop because they're so cute and their ears droop down real low, but as I
said, we would have to separate them and
put a wall in the cage.
