For my love, on Valentine's Day, 2018. I continue to be inspired by your soaring mind and deep soul. Never stop dreaming.
Love always,

One Day, Michelle was playing by the river. After Chasing Faeries for a while, without ever the luck to catch one, she sat down by the running water to rest. When she leaned over to look into the water, she saw someone looking back at her. No, it was not her reflection that would be too ordinary...

Looking back at her was a beautiful young woman who smiled and bid her "good day." Michelle, caught off guard, managed to return the greeting. She then added the bewildering question: "but who are you?" "I..." replied the woman in the water, "I know who I am, but you must show me who you are by creating a poem, only then may you pass into my world and learn about me."

Michelle looked into the sky and thought about this for a minute. She was good at writing poetry, and very curious about the woman in the water. Besides, she had hours until supper time and no other commitments whatsoever, so she told the woman that she would recite a poem about herself. And this was her poem:

"Away with where the wind would blow
Is where you'll find the things I know.
Where words cut glass like starry skies
Is where you'll find my wandering eyes.
The flower's breath is in my hands,
And mountain peaks make up my heart,
And in my feet are foreign lands,
Although they don't tread far."

Well, the woman in the water did not say a word, but she must have enjoyed the little girl's poem, because she extended her hand out of the water and motioned for the dreaming girl to take hold of it. Michelle took her hand and stepped slowly into the water. I say slowly, but she stepped much faster than other girls would have, if they dared step at all.

So Michelle took one step, and then another, and before she knew it, she was being led down a crystal staircase in the middle of the most extra-ordinary room. There were so many wonders, it is hard to know what to describe first.
The staircase, as I mentioned, was made of crystal, and it reflected the most brilliant light which filled the room with rainbows. Rainbows were everywhere, and not only were they beautiful, they were touchable! In fact, many children were playing with each other by climbing onto, and sliding off of, there rainbows.

The woman knelt down beside Michelle and saw wonder in her eyes. This made her smile, for nothing in the world is as beautiful as the wonder in Michelle's eyes as she beheld the magic around her. She saw fountains made of light, and music composed of colors. She saw the happy faces of the children, and the love in the eyes of the woman who brought her here.
