Bella the Ballerina runs excitedly to the barre to start practicing her pliés.

“Stand next to me!” Sarah shouts out to Bella, Mary, and Jeanette.

They run over and as soon as Mrs. Jolene starts the music, they all start dancing.

Snap!!!

Suddenly, Bella is on the floor holding her leg in pain.

“Bella are you okay?” asks Jeanette

“Your leg is purple,” Mary tells Bella.

Mrs. Jolene calls Bella’s mom who rushes over to the ballet studio.

“Lets get you to the doctor,” she says.

Dr. Jazz tells Bella, “We're

going to take an x-ray of your leg to see what’s going on,”

Once everything is set up,

Bella lays down on the machine. 

“Make sure to lay still,” Dr. Jazz says.

After examining the x-ray, Dr. Jazz tells Bella the Ballerina, “You have a small break in your leg."

Bella asked Dr. Jazz, “Will I be able to walk by tomorrow, I’m supposed to go to the zoo with all of my friends." Dr. Jazz answers, “I’m so sorry. You will not be able to go because you have to rest up so her leg can heal properly.”
