George had a pet dragon who was named Joe.

He was a fab pet and a great friend to know.

Mostly, he brought George a great deal of joy.

But Joe wasn't always a good dragon boy.

Now, dragons can be difficult to manage, you see.

They are very hot-headed and can often be

Stubborn and whiny when they don't get their way.

As George found out on this very stressful day.

He wanted to play hide

and seek with Joe.

He said, "I"ll count to

20, and off you go

To hide somewhere good and I"ll seek

you out."

But Joe wasn't going to do it and

 started to shout.

"This isn't a game that I want to play today.

I'm not going to play with you, George - go away!"

When Joe got mad, his nose would smoke.

His voice would get loud whenever he spoke.

Joe always got angry when he didn't get his way.

Something that happened on many a day.

It couldn't continue; Joe had to learn how to be

Calmer, more patient and a lot less whiny.

George spoke to his Dad and asked how he could

show Joe how to behave better

as a good dragon should.

"Teach him a lesson. Show him just how bad

It is to live with naughty behavior," said Dad.
