Day after day, we prayed to the Lord. We trusted in His answer, we trusted in His Word.

We waited patiently, for the timing to be right, for someone to choose our family, that the fit would be right.

Once we were selected,we shouted with glee. We jumped and cheered and thanked the Lord for our growing family!

So a few days later, we met your birth mother. She was oh so sweet and anxious to meet, the family she chose for her child.

You were our missing piece that we prayed for so long. I could not carry a baby so God found another way to make me a mom.

Your birth parents could not care for you as they did not have the means. They searched for a forever Mommy and Daddy to give you all their hopes and dreams.

We were told you were a girl and we were so delighted. We came up with your name and couldn't have been more excited.

One very cold day in February, we thought it was time for you to be born. We waited in the parking lot for word from the doctor to confirm.

"No", he said, "tonight is not the night, but tomorrow would be your day." We went home to await the call that now is the time to pray.

The next day on the 11th, you decided to come into this world. I was in the room and saw your face and everything started to swirl. I was so excited that I got really hot. I vomited once but then I cut your cord, and my love grew on the spot!

I held you in my arms and looked into your eyes. I knew that very second, you were a very awesome surprise!

We had to come up with a name, as Gabby wouldn't do. We loved the name Dallas but the middle name we needed too.
