This is dedicated to all my friends for always being there for me.

Lilly had always been hiding her secret. Ever since her mom had signed her up for singing class with her best friend, she LOVED singing. Well, at home. One school day she saw a sign up sheet for a talent show. She pretended to ignore it but her best friend said, "Lilly! You have to sign up. You have an amazing voice!" "No." Lilly said. "Please!" Lilly thought about it. "Fine." She said. "But only because I know you won't stop bugging me until I do."

When Lilly told her mom after school, she was thrilled! "Oh Lilly! I new you would someday come out of your shell!" Her mom said. "Great." Lilly's brother said. "More singing." "Luke, be nice to your little sister!" Their mom said. "You are going to do great Lilly!" Lilly wished she hadn't signed up already.

So Lilly practiced. She practiced, and practiced, and practiced. She practiced in the shower, while doing homework, and in all her free time. "Make it stop!" Her brother said. "Be nice Luke." Their mom said. "But Lilly could you maybe be a little bit quieter?" Even their mom was getting tired of her singing.

Finally the night of the show came. Lilly's mom picked out a pretty yellow dress for her. Lilly was so nervous. She peaked out behind the curtain and saw her parents and brother at the front with what seemed like 1,000 other people! Lilly had butterflies in her stomach. No, she had a stampede of elephants in her stomach!! This was the most nervous she had ever felt.
