Hi, My name is Sally and this is my story about the four seasons. Let's have a look at what makes each season unique.

December - March
When it is winter time, I noticed that the days get shorter because it gets dark around supper time.
The average temperature is between -15 degrees celsius and -40 degrees celsius which is very cold. There is usually lots of snow on the ground and some days it is so cold that the rain freezes.
In order to stay warm during this season, you must dress warm. Every day, I wear a thick sweater, a winter jacket, snow pants, a scarf, mittens and a hat to school so I could build snow forts at recess time.

There are lots of activities that you can do in the winter time in Canada such as snow shoeing, snow tubing snowmobiling, snowboarding, and many more.
My favourite winter activity is going skiing with my family at the Blue Mountain ski resort in Grey County. It is so much fun!
What is your favourite winter activity?
March - June

During spring time, the days are finally longer which means I can play outside for longer because it does not get dark outside until my bedtime.
On average, the temperature is between 10 degrees celsius and 20 degrees celsius which is much warmer than the winter season.
Since the temperature is now becoming warmer, there is much more rain during this season. The rain helps the grass and flowers grow, which is why spring is known to be a season of blooming. You might want to wear a raincoat, rain boots and have an umbrella handy during spring time.

There are plenty of fun activities to do during spring time. You can go camping, kayaking, canoeing. You can even play fun sports such as golf, croquet and baseball.
My favourite thing to do during spring time is to go for bike rides around my neighbourhood. Jumping around in puddles is also so much fun!
