To my EDRD class

Noah loves to explore the world of music.
Let's see and learn how he imagines some fun musical terms!
A crescendo shows that the music builds and gets louder! Just like when a lion roars, the wider it's mouth gets, the louder the roar!

rrrrrrrrrrrooooooaaaaaaarrrrrrrr!!!!!
Decrescendo has the opposite effect. Just like when someone yawns, they get softer as they close their mouth.

Noah imagines a choir singing louder and louder, then singing softer and softer. That's a crescendo to decrescendo!
But how does the musician know how to play loud or soft?

DYNAMICS!

Dynamics mean how loud or soft the music is.

Fortissimo
Noah imagines
superstar
Adele singing with passion at a VERY
LOUD dynamic
Fortissimo!
When Noah imagines Forte, he imagines a volume just a bit softer than Fortissimo. He imagines a snare drum player!
Loud, but not very loud!
