Spike has always been dreaming of being a pro soccer player.

He would always play soccer with his friends. Spike enjoyed himself very much although, he thought "It would be better if there was a soccer team to join."

One day while Spike's sister, Rose, was with her friends she saw a sign that said that there were soccer try-outs.

"Oh what wonderful news, Spike will love this," she said to herself.

SOCCER TRY-OUTS!

Great news!

YAY!!!

Rose got home and ran to her little brother, and told him the great news.

Spike was really happy to hear this, his dream was finally going to come true. He will finally be on a soccer team like he always dreamed of.

Spike arrived at the try-outs, but he was scared that he would fail and with a shaky voice said, "I'm ready."

Coach Croc, the soccer coach, looked at him with a worried look and said," Alright kiddo, step right up."

Ready?

Oh no, I'm a failure!

Spike got the soccer ball, but when he kicked the soccer ball he fell on his back, instead of actually hitting the ball.

"Ouch!!!," shouted Spike, and with a sad face he got up with tears in his eyes and ran home.
