This book is dedicated to the children and teenagers from kindergarten to 12th grade and a thanks for reading.

Evaporation- Turning water into a gas
Condensation- Turning a gas into water
Precipitation- Water falling from the sky in the form of rain, snow, sleet, etc.
Runoff- When water drains away
Carbon Cycle
Fossil Fuel- Coal or gas formed through remains of previous organisms
Carbon Dioxide- A gas that can't be smelled or seen and occurs naturally in Earths air, plants absorb it during photosynthesis
Photosynthesis- Organisms (mainly green plants) make food from water and the carbon dioxide (CO2)
Carbon- A gas that is produced naturally, it is a polyatomic nonmetal. The basis of life on Earth because of numerous elements and because it forms organic compounds
Nitrogen Cycle
Denitrification- Turning the nitrates in the soil back to nitrogen gas
Nitrification- Turning the ammonium ions in nitrates and nitrites
Nitrogen fixation- Nitrogen gas into nitrates
Mineralizaton- inorganic substance advance into an organic matrix
Nitrogen- Forms nearly 78% of Earth's atmosphere, it is an odorless and colorless nonreactive gas.
Erosion- A slow process of destruction
Plant Residues- An organic substance that is left behind once the harvesting and processing of the plant/crop occurs.
Phosphorus- Nonmetallic poisonous part of the nitrogen group. It does have a smell unlike the others.
Energy Transfer-
Turning one type of energy into a different type and/or moving energy from one place to another
Matter Transfer-
photosynthesis: Matter is turned into glucose from carbon dioxide and water.
Oxydation: Matter is combined into carbon dioxide and water during respiration.
Transformation: Molecules are moved through living organisms, broken down and turned into other molecules as part of growth and biomass distribution.
