There once was a princess named Princess Raspberry. Her real name is Princess Ellie, but she likes the name Princess Raspberry. She lived in a big castle and she had two cats, Smokey and Bandit.

Ellie was born into a royal family. She lived with her Grandparents, the king and queen. She has a big garden in her yard with a forest behind the castle.

Every morning she goes out to her garden and picks all of the fresh, ripe, perfect berries. Strawberries are her favorite. Her garden consists of strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, and pineapples. She also has an orchard by the forest. It has many kinds of trees. There are apple, orange, mango, kiwi, and a dragon fruit trees. It attracts a lot of butterflies during the spring.

I want your strawberries!

One day while she was picking her strawberries, a pesky bird, called the Berry Snatcher, stole the freshest strawberries she had and said, “I want your strawberries!”

STOP!

He stole the strawberries for several days. She yelled “Stop!” very loudly, but he just flew away. She tried building a cage to cover the strawberries to keep him out, but it didn't work.

Why?

“Man,” she thought, “Why is he stealing all of my strawberries?”

“ I just do not understand why he is doing it.” she thought looking puzzled.

The Berry Snatcher stole the strawberries for several days, weeks even.

One day when the Berry Snatcher was taking the strawberries, Princess Raspberry noticed that Berry Snatcher was taking less than usual. The next day he took less and less each day.

On a bright afternoon Princess Rasberry, while tending to her orchard she noticed that she had a visitor. It was Prince Blueberry. He had come for a tea party. They had lemon ginger tea, mini sandwiches, and cookies for their afternoon tea party,

“Do you like the tea and cookies?” she asked very kindly.

“I do, thank you for the yummy tea and cookies.” he said kindly.

“You’re welcome.” she replied

Why?

While they were having the tea party they started talking about the Berry Snatcher. “Every day he comes in to my garden and takes all of my prettiest and freshest strawberries,” she exclamed.

“But here lately he has been taking less berries each day.” she described.

“That's odd, I will talk to him and see why he is taking the strawberries.” he said gracefully.
