Hi, I am Emily. I am going to tell you about forces and motion. Come on!

What is force? Force is a push or pull upon an object, resulting from the object's` interaction with another object. Whenever there is an interaction between two objects, there is a force upon each of the objects. When the interaction ceases, the two objects no longer experience the force.

Here is an example of force: When you roll a ball down a hill, it is creating downward force. This force is powered by gravity.

What is gravity? Gravity is a force attraction by which terrestrial bodies tend to pull toward the center of the earth .

This is a example of gravity: When the apple falls off the tree, gravity is pulling it down toward the center of the earth.

Now we move on to motion. What is motion? Motion is the action or process of a moving, or a changing place of position, movement.

This is an example of motion: When you ride a bike the two wheels move which causes motion.
