is for Abraham
Father Abraham had many sons, and I am one of them and so are you! God told Abraham to move to another land and his decedents will be more than all the stars in the universe!


is for Barabbas
Barabbas was an evil criminal who was chosen by a large crowd to be set free, instead of Jesus who was innocent and never did anything wrong.


is for Cain

Cain was the firstborn of Adam and Eve, who killed his brother Abel. Cain was livid when God accepted Abel's gift, and not his. God did not accept Cain's gift because it was not the best that Cain could have done.

is for Deborah

Deborah was a great judge. At one point in the Bible she was leading all of Israel. She was always lead by God and through God, she helped put an evil king, Jabin of Canaan's, tormenting to an end.

is for Esther

Ester was a Jew and was chosen to be a bride for a king. One of the men who worked for the king did not like Ester's uncle, Mordechai, who was also a Jew. So the advisor asked the king to kill all of the Jews, and the king agreed. To save her people, Ester was brave and told the king that she was a Jew. She begged the king to spare their lives, and he agreed.

is for Felix

Felix was slave at first and eventually became a mean and cruel Roman governor. Paul was sent to Felix for a trial. The crowd agreed that Paul was guilty and put him in jail. Although Felix knew that Paul was innocent, he kept him in jail, hoping that Paul's friends would pay a high price for Paul's freedom.

is for Gabriel

The angel Gabriel was a messenger for God. Although the Bible mentions Gabriel speaking with three different people, his most infamous encounter was with Mary. Gabriel told Mary that she was highly favored by God, and would give birth to His son, Jesus.

is for Hezekiah

King Hezekiah is credited for rebuilding the temple of God. He got rid of all the false idols and all the bad stuff and reopened the gates to the temple. Because Hezekiah did a lot for God, God was merciful and let him live longer than he was supposed to. You should do a lot for God so God can bless you too!

is for Isaiah

Isaiah was a very important prophet for the Lord. He told many people about the future coming of the Messiah, Jesus. Isaiah also spoke of God's anger with the people because they were not living right. However, he also told them of God's mercy and forgiveness of their sins through the Messiah.

is for Jesus

Jesus is the one and only son of God. He loved us so much that he came down from Heaven to save us. He died to be the ultimate sacrifice. Thanks to Jesus we no longer have to go through a long process to talk to God. We can now talk to God anytime we want. Also if we believe in the story of Jesus, we get to live with God forever and not be thrown into fire.

is for King Solomon

Solomon was the son of King David. As a child, David killed a tall, mean, giant with just a sling, because of God. He later became a king. His son Solomon ruled after him. God told Solomon that he would give him anything he wanted, and Solomon chose wisdom. God was pleased with his request and made Solomon the most wisest and richest person ever. If you want to be wise too, just ask Jesus.

is for Lot's Wife

God was planning to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. They were two cities that did a lot of really bad and evil things. However, God found favor on Lot and some of his family and decided to spare their lives. God told Lot and his family to leave and do not look back. While Lot and his family were leaving the city, Lot's wife disobeyed God and looked back. She immediately became a tall rock, made out of salt. Lot's wife disobeyed God. Don't be like Lot's wife.

is for Mary

Mary was the mother of Jesus. Gabriel told her that she would have a child and that his name would be Jesus because he would save the people from their sins. Mary delivered Jesus in Bethlehem, in a manger. A manger is very similar to a barn. Mary was married to Joseph when she gave birth.

is for Noah

Who built the ark? Noah! Noah! There was a time in the Bible where everyone turned away from God, besides Noah and his family. So God told Noah to build a large ship to save his family from the flood that was going to destroy the Earth. Because of the ark, you and I are alive today!

is for Obadiah

Obadiah is the shortest book of the Bible, written by Obadiah. The name Obadiah means "servant of God". This book talks about how God will judge and punish those who try to go against his children. His children are you and me!

is for Paul

Paul was one of the most faithful followers of Jesus Christ. However he always was not that way. His name was at first "Saul", but God changed him, and had "Paul" be his new name. Saul was the most popular hunter of Christians. This shows that no matter what you have done, God can forgive and use you.

is for Quartus

Quartus was one of the first early Christians. He was also a friend of Paul's. At the end of one of Paul's letters, one of the people he greets is Quartus. He later had to suffer for his faith and for being a Christian.
