If going green meant a better life for you and me,

Why wouldn’t everyone want to go green?

Not only just for you, and your family and me,

But for those after us, and the birds, and the trees

It is truly very easy to change your ways

All you have to do is think about your actions day by day...

This means turn off the lights when you have no need,

And just recycle! that alone is such a simple deed.

Chose fuel efficient cars and go easy on the gas,

Cause the truth is that fossil fuels really wont last. 

Instead of plastic bottles, chose the reusable ones.

All of this and more will really save you some funds.

While these are all things you might change on your own,

There is much more to do outside your own home.

Stand up for mother earth cause she has no voice;

It is simple for us and is just the right choice.

It is easier than you think to take care of our earth.

We should because she has given us everything since birth. 

However, we are the ones who may lead to her demise

That could be irreversible without a compromise.

The problem doesn’t come from just you or me,

But leading by example is one of the keys.
