Dedicated to Ms. Martin

Once there was a boy. His name was David.

David loved all his toys.

But, David loved his bunny most of all.

One day, while David was at school, the bunny fell behind a pillow.

"Oh no! Where is my bunny?" cried David. He was very sad.

He looked all around his room, but there was no bunny.

David looked all around his house, but she wasn't in sight.
David looked all through the school, but Bunny was nowhere to be found.

David looked high and low at the park, but Bunny couldn't be found.

David even looked in the woods by the playground for bunny, but she wasn't there.
David looked everywhere in the city, but he still couldn't find the bunny anywhere.

So David started to like his snake the most. This upset the lonely bunny.

The bunny tried to call out for David, but the words wouldn't come out. How will David know where Bunny is?

He took the snake to school...
...and Bunny was left behind.

David took the snake to the park...
...and Bunny was left behind.

David took the snake to the city...

...and Bunny was left behind.

David liked his snake, but he missed bunny very much. He wished he knew where she was. Snake just isn't the same to play with.

Bunny finally built up the courage and squeaked up. "Squeak! Squeak!"

"What was that?" David said. It sounded like Bunny.
"Squeak! Squeak!"
He heard it again!
