For my little cousins

Rosie was a parrot. She loved to play outside in her treetop home with her friend LuLu.

One day, Rosie brought her toys to the forest.

"I'll share my toys with you," said Rosie, smiling at LuLu.

"Thanks!" LuLu exclaimed, reaching for the doll.

Suddenly, LuLu gasped. "Your doll!" she said, her eyes widening. "It must have gotten lost!"

"You lost my doll?" Rosie shrieked. "I'm never letting you play with my toys again!"

LuLu tried to explain that she wasn't the one who lost the doll. She wanted to tell Rosie that it might have fallen out of her wagon, but it was too late.
Rosie had gone to take a break in her favorite tree.

LuLu walked home to her nest, feeling sad. She didn't want Rosie to be angry with her, and she didn't want Rosie's doll to be missing either.
Meanwhile, Rosie was also feeling sad. She knew that she had upset her friend.
She spotted something on the ground. It was purple, and it looked just like her doll!

Rosie knew that she had to talk to her friend and make things right, but she didn't know how.
"My doll!" said Rosie happily. "I guess it did fall out of the wagon! But I sure hope that LuLu's not too gloomy after all I said to her."

"Maybe Wilma the Wise Owl will have some advice!"

Rosie flew over to Wilma's tree and began to chat. She explained the whole situation.
"Well," Wilma started. "I think that you should try to put yourself in LuLu's shoes."
