One sunny-summer day, Rose and her family went on a boat trip to their favorite nearby island, Cape Sand.

On the Island, some of her favorite things are...

Rose, the youngest daughter, likes to sneak off and decides to go beach combing. On that summer day she finds an old glass bottle filled with shimmering purple liquid.

Rose sneaks the old bottle into her bag and climbs on the boat to go home.

When Rose gets home she goes to her room and finds a safe hiding spot for the bottle. She decides to examine it before putting it away.

A few days later, Rose brings the bottle to swim practice and takes a little sip of the purple liquid. She realizes that it gives her the power to breathe under water.

The next weekend she brings the bottle of purple liquid with her when her family goes back to Cape Sand. While her family plays beach volleyball she sneaks a little sip...

Rose goes for a swim in the ocean and with her special power she finds a

shipwreck.

While exploring the wreck, she meets a friendly shark, curious turtle, and a big Snowy Grouper. All of them quickly become friends.

A pod of five dolphins swim up to Rose and start playing with her.

TEN MINUTES LATER..

Soon every dolphin wants her to ride on top of them, which she excitedly tries. They have an amazing time and when she touches one of the dolphin's foreheads, she realizes that she can communicate with them.

Then she asks the dolphins to take her back to the island.

Rose's parents ask her where she has been. She said that she went to a snorkeling spot around the point.

Rose's family got back on the boat and went home. They continued to visit the island for the next several months and Rose would always do and say the same thing.

One afternoon a small plane left a nearby island. The plane had a problem and had to land on the water.

All of the passengers were able to climb into life rafts that were on the plane. The Coast Guard finally arrived as it was getting dark.

As the Coast Guard boat was driving back to land a boy slid off the side into the water while it was moving. As it was now pitch dark outside, and the engine was loud, nobody noticed a thing.

When they get to the dock,

the mother of the boy realizes

the boy fell

off

the

boat

while they were driving back.

The Coast Guard return to look for him but they can't find him because the ocean currents were so strong that they moved him.

In the morning the news of the boy is on every channel. When Rose sees this, she knows what she has to do.
