Tommy Hale was a very intelligent 6th grader at Piedmont Middle school. He worked very hard in school. He always seemed as an overachiever. When he set his mind to something it was achieved.

Tommy loved to read books and spell. Everyone in Tommy's family supported him and done everything in their power to make him successful. 

Tommy tried out for the spelling bee one day. He succeed and got chosen as one to compete. He studied hard because he wouldn't accept to lose.
