Emmeline's Story
Once a young girl, simply a child, she dreamed of greater things, she longed to be wild.
And with her goal, a method she planned, she kept her dream close, even as she gave her hand.

So as time proceeded, she grew into her own, while life had changed forever, she had started a home. And as children grew, a new chapter begun, her fight no longer alone, had a family, as one.

But there was something wrong. A troublesome sight, for those who disagreed, forced hands up to fight. There was no longer a dream, for a dream became a reality. There seemed to be loss, simply a calamity.
Yet there was a light shining, in the young girls eyes, to her, the fighters did not come as surprise. She took her dream, and made the choice, her fight would be one in which the world would rejoice.

“Emmeline Pankhurst,” She said, and she said it loud, for that was her name, and with that she was proud.
And to all of the world, she spoke with a grin, “I will do what I need to give women the win!”

After many a year, an organization she founded, ‘The Women’s Franchise League,” left many astounded. “She did it! She really did it!” Said those amongst the crowd, but to Emmeline a solution was yet to be found.
And as decade turned decade, Emmeline continued her plans, she founded the Social and Political Union, and gained admiring fans.
But in 1920, as a stress would be relieved, her dream was a truth, and women’s suffrage was achieved...
Eleanor's Story
A young girl’s story, began a little bit later, for in her older age she was known as a debater. America’s soul, what she seemed to be, a leader in boughs of democracy.
With her travels and journeys, she would gallivant, yet she realized at home there was something different.

There was trouble in the world, a sight sad to see. She thought, "Who was to fix it?” For no one should plea.
And with that motivation she determined a solution, to the problems of the world, there would be an evolution.
“My name is Eleanor Roosevelt,” she ‘d say with a smile, as she shared words on “My Day,” every second worth the while. America would listen, gain strength and power, the worst times were gone, nobody had wished to cower.
And as time continued, she’d gain her own independence, focused aside from the works of the president. With progression through time, her words would be noticed, she began to hold her work, to her heart, closest.
The times were changing though,
and people took notice, appointed by the UN,
she shifted her focus. “ World Peace, World Peace,”
she’d say with concern,
for far from enough had listened and learned...

And as she kept solving problems she realized so, the government didn’t have intent, and there was nothing more to know.
So with her heart in mind, and a willful head, she said goodbye to politics and worked with culture instead.

And as the clock turned, she became a citizen of the globe, she had helped the world, and her friends had become home.
