Chapter 1: Deklin

“ROAR” yelled Deklin playfully in his bed. Deklin was a smart 10-year-old boy who was crazy about dinosaurs. He lived with his mum and went to school like any normal kid would. He had his best friend, Jaxon, his good friend, Patrick and Patrick’s friend Caden. All his friends had to have active imaginations; Deklin’s imagination was wild. He was getting ready for bed and was being chased by his mum. Deklin leaped tremendously right into his bed. “Goodnight, my darling” His mum said. “Goodnight mummy” Deklin said as he drifted off into dreamland. As he slept he didn’t here the screaming and he didn’t here struggle going on in the other room. When he woke up he was chained to chair. He struggled fiercely when a TV flickered on in front of him. It was a tape of his mum. “Listen, sweetheart, I’m sorry about telling them about you but it was the only way to save my own life” She told him. Suddenly, a guy pulled out a gun and shot her. “Mum, NO!” Deklin whined. He heard a door slam behind him. There was a man with a bat. Deklin got knocked out. When he woke up he was in a white empty room with a mirror. On the other side of the mirror was a room fool of scientists. A metallic tentacle with a needle came out of a hole in the wall. Deklin took one glance at the needle, screamed and ran off around the room.

“Remain still if you ever want to see you mum again,” a speaker said. Deklin stopped to think but realized the needle was already stabbing him. The pain accelerated through him as his body started growing. Through 3 seconds he was already stronger than the strongest man in the world. He looked like a miniature hulk. Deklin growled and panted. He lashed out punching the walls smashing the window. But, nothing happened. A tube stretched out and dropped meat down for him to eat. Deklin was just about to dig in when another tentacle came out with a taser came out and shocked him. “No meat for you” it buzzed. Deklin roared and shoveled the meat into his mouth. “100,000,000 volts” the tentacle buzzed and zapped Deklin with all it’s might. “You think that’ll hurt him” a scientist discussed. “After we gave the mutation Alpasona,” he continued. After years of experiments these crazy scientist had finally created a big, bad, bananas, bonkers, weapon. But, now we have to travel a few years into the future. Like ten years into the future.

Chapter 2: Patrick and Jaxon

Jaxon was Deklin’s very best friend until he ‘disappeared’. Patrick was his friend, too. Unfortunately, after the loss of his best friend, Jaxon went crazy and lost all his memories of Deklin. Patrick took the news better but was still depressed for the ten years that have passed. Patrick had taken the job of looking after Jaxon so that he didn’t do anything to stupid. “Hey, look, there’s a ad for a scientist job hehehehehe” Jaxon said. “Hmmm, I do need some cash and I know you’ve always been a mad scientist at heart” Patrick said and took the job. Then, when they went through the door into the scientist area they were forced to never leave because they can’t tell any living soul about the place. This is the place where Deklin is being kept. When they saw him Patrick yelled with joy. “Deklin old buddy old pal what have they done to you?” Patrick asked. “WHO?” yelled Jaxon? “Oh, not aloud to say the D word” mumbled Patrick. As Patrick talked to the scientist about at least talking to Deklin while Jaxon stood there and kept shocking him. Jaxon had forgotten all about him. Patrick walked in. “Hey, buddy” Patrick said. Deklin’s head twitched. “Patrick?” he asked. “Yes, Patrick” Patrick smiled and nodded. “Where Jaxon” Deklin said. Patrick stopped smiling and considered telling him. “I’ll go get him,” Patrick said. Patrick shoved Jaxon through the door. “Who are you” Jaxon yelled over and over again. Deklin asked, “He does not remember Deklin” Deklin said. Deklin roared and started sobbing. “Don’t worry I’ll get you out” Patrick said.

Chapter 3: escaping

Patrick took the overnight shift for a month until he was trusted alone with Deklin. He loaded the room with explosive waste. “Is this from Jaxon’s toilet” joked Deklin. “Yes”-answered Patrick. He lit the fuse and watched as it followed through. Jaxon ran in with a taser and started tasing them. Patrick ran out and tried to usher Jaxon out but he got hit with the blast. The serum leaked out of the needle and Jaxon licked the puddle up. Jaxon didn’t mind the pain. Patrick knew that a crazy guy + super serum means danger so he and Deklin ran off into the forest. Deklin ran so fast and Patrick couldn’t keep up so they got separated. “Deklin!” Patrick called out. He heard some rustling in the bushes. He went to investigate because he was scared and alone and thought it was Deklin. Deklin had run as far away as he could.

He thought about running home and finding all his other friends. But, he knew the scientists would find him so he stayed in the forest. As the fact that Deklin had not had a proper education he lacked the adult brain and was even more held back by the loss of general brain structure that came with Alpasona. Jaxon had been overcome by Alpasona and was captured by the scientists. “Do you like bananas?” asked Jaxon. As we head another five years into the future to head into a more action side of the story.

Chapter 4: Living in the wild

Deklin had adapted to living in the wild. The first few years he hunted bears and deer; the small prey. We come in to Deklin hunting an elephant. He jumped up through the air and swung his claws into the soft flesh. Although Deklin was strong the elephant was stronger. The elephant grabbed Deklin with its trunk and threw him off. Deklin was not fazed and chased after his prey. As it ran threw the forest Deklin noticed a small figure by a tree waving. Deklin stopped. His head started to throb and he fell to the ground. Deklin was surrounded by darkness. His mind had gone blank. He cried out as memories filled his mind.

The torture he had felt being experimented on. A scientist walked through the door, covered in meat. Deklin knew if he moved he would be zapped. He looked between the doors at a little girl being injected with Alpasona. Deklin arose from his daze. He shot up from the ground and pondered about how many people had been injected with Alpasona. He looked around swiftly for the little girl he had seen. He heard someone calling out.“Deklin, DEKLIN!!” the voice called out. Deklin ran towards the voice. There in the middle of the forest was a little girl looking up at him.She looked surprisingly calm. When Deklin isn’t angry he can be quite a nice guy and he considered talking to the little girl. “Hi, my name is Deklin, what’s your name?” Deklin asked. “My name is Charlotte,” said Charlotte.

“What are you doing out here?” Deklin asked. “Running from the bad scientists” said Charlotte. “For how long?” asked Deklin? “Five years” answered Charlotte. “How did you survive that long?” asked Deklin. “The nice scientist, Patrick” Charlotte answered. Charlotte held Deklin’s hand and led him to Patrick. “Deklin! Old buddy old pal I finally found you!” cheered Patrick. “The scientists are still hunting us,” he continued. Deklin glared at Patrick and frowned. “Did you get rich?” asked Deklin. Patrick chuckled and shook his head. “I’ll teach you what we do to survive,” says Charlotte. Her head starts twitching and her eyes roll up around and comes back around with red glaring eyes and she starts growing bigger and bigger until she is about the size of a great white shark. Deklin’s hearts start pumping harder and harder. He falls over and everything goes blank.

Chapter 5: Caden

Before Deklin went missing. Deklin and all his friends played behind the cricket pitch everyday at school. Jaxon usually made a game up and played it with everyone. Today they were playing mutants. Deklin gets mutated and Patrick saves him. Jaxon has to try and kill them. That’s what Deklin was remembering. He started remembering another day in the lab. It was the day the window that on Deklin’s side was a mirror but on the scientist side was a window became see through to Deklin. He saw Caden burst through the door yelling something at the scientists. Then Caden jumped on a scientist and started punching him. Consequently, Caden was tranquilized and thrown in a cage. Forced to inhale the highest form of Alpasona waste.The gas was too much for anyone normal to survive. It turns out there are different types of Alpasona. Deklin and Charlotte got the strength type. Caden was given the gift of immortality and invincibility. Deklin zapped up to Patrick yelling at him. “Caden’s here” Patrick yelled. Caden walked up to Patrick and punched him. “What was that for?” asked Patrick. “You had the guts to save Deklin who got food and water but you didn’t save the person who was suffering and writhing in pain. Just because I’m invincible doesn’t mean I can’t feel pain,” answered Caden.

“HE DIDN’T KNOW YOU WERE THERE” roared Deklin. “Can me and Caden talk personally?” asked Patrick. They walked behind a bunch of trees. Abruptly, a jet zoomed past and noosed Charlotte up. Deklin darted after the jet. “Deklin wait!” cried Patrick and Caden. However it was too late. Deklin had gone because he also had swiftness and strength. Patrick eyed Caden. He pulled out two steel pairs of pants. “Put these on” yelled Patrick and put his pair on. There was a little screen with numbers with the letters KM beside them. Patrick typed in two hundred KM in and zoomed off after Deklin. Caden typed the same zipped off after Patrick.

Chapter 6: NO

As Deklin skyrocketed through the forest and Patrick and Caden right on his tail the jet plummeted something that brought them all to a halt. There, holding beakers full of random colours was Jaxon. But, he wasn’t the same. Meeting his friend again and then losing him again turned him evil. As the scientist hadn’t found a full formula of Alpasona for him he takes doses of it. “Jaxon!” the trio cried. “Who?” Jaxon asked. Part of Jaxon was gone fifteen years ago but now he was fully succumbed to lunacy. As a result, brainwashing him was easy. Now, Charlotte was fighting for her life in the jet but was failing against the hundreds of scientists sticking tranquilizer needles into her. Deklin felt her pain through Alpasona’s hive mind. But, Deklin saw Jaxon in pain, too.. “Old buddy join us and we can stop the pain. We can stop Alpasona together!” Deklin cried. “NO!” Jaxon yelled. “You chose to be an experiment!” Jaxon said twisted with lies. “You didn’t care about me. You made me like this. YOU!!!” Jaxon yelled tears streaming down his face. Jaxon jumped in the air and brought his fist down towards Deklin. But, in the middle of the air his Alpasona wore out. Consequently, he fell fast asleep in Deklin’s palm. “I’ll save you, buddy” He said as he walked off into the distance. He felt responsible of Jaxon and Charlotte’s pain.

“DEKLIN” A voice surged in his mind. He stumbled back as a result of his Alpasona amnesia. He fell back unconscious. Jaxon jumped up and suspected he had killed Deklin with the blow, drank a bottle of Alpasona and ran back to the lab. Deklin shriveled back to a normal sized human and Patrick carried him to where he had camped for the last five years. “It’s not your fault, bro,” He whispered into Deklin’s ear before he went to sleep. He had no idea that Deklin was busy uncovering his deepest, darkest secret from the deepest pits of hell.

Chapter 7: Patrick’s secret

Deklin dreamed back to a video Patrick was showing him and Jaxon. “The serum is called Alpasona. It will give basically superpowers to anyone who drinks/absorbs it. There are three types of it. The lowest type is strength and speed. The middle type is immortality and invincibility. The highest form is extreme smartness and the best memory anyone could have. I’ll keep it tonight and sell it tomorrow” the video said. “It got stolen” Patrick said. The scientist had stolen the three formulas and had been able to remake the strength one. Thoughts clouded Deklin’s mind. WHO DID THE HIGHEST FORM GO TO, WHY DID THE SCIENTISTS USE IT FOR EVIL AND WHY IS PIZZA SO TASTY. Precipitously, he awoke. He was in the middle of the forest with an unlit fire beside him. There was a pile of deceased squirrels on the other side of him too. There was note on his lap that said cook the squirrels I won’t be long. Deklin grabbed a stick and speared it into the squirrel. He roasted it like a marshmallow. He knew that Patrick had injected himself before the Alpasona formula got stolen. He had extreme smartness and the best memory anybody could have. Poor Patrick having to live with the memory of how he caused Deklin’s disappearance and Jaxon’s insanity and Deklin’s mum’s death.

Deklin decided to follow the footprints in the sticks to find Patrick and talk to him. What he saw horrified him. He saw Patrick being grabbed by the neck by Jaxon. Jaxon had a stick with a pointy end in hand. Jaxon drove it up through Patrick, causing Patrick to spew blood everywhere. With his mission succeeded Jaxon began to turn around to go back to the lab. But, he noticed Deklin frozen in spot staring at him. Deklin ran. Deklin ran as fast as his puny non-Alpasonic legs could take him. He began to sob. One of his best friends was dead and his other best friend had killed him. He ran to the lab and prepared to save Charlotte.
