"Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly
And the dreams that you dream of
Dreams really do come true"
-The Wizard of Oz Harold Arlen and lyrics by Yip Harburg
Somewhere over the rainbow...in our America all people are equal, diversity is daily celebrated, immigrants and refugees are welcome, and love will always win!
Let's keep dreaming over the rainbow!

This is Ilana, a curious five year-old that lives in a big city called New York with his two Moms Vanessa and Marina. Ilana calls Vanessa "Mami" and she calls Marina "Mommy."
Ilana went to bed early since tomorrow is the New York City Pride Parade. Mami Vanne and Mommy Marina told Ilana that this is a very special parade, in which "love" is celebrated in many parts of the world and rainbows are found everywhere in the street. Ilana loves rainbows. Ilana uses a tablet with pictures to communicate with others. Ilana is
It's Parade Day! Bowie woke up so excited to see the "many rainbows" that Dadda have spoken about the night before. Bowie ran to the window. Feeling excited, he went to wake up his parents: "Look, there are "many rainbows" out there! Let's go see the parade!
Bowie can't wait to see the many surprises he will find in his hometown

The first thing Bowie noticed was how happy people looked holding these rainbow flags. He also liked how funny people were dressed too!
Bowie asked Daddy John: " Why are these people holding rainbow flags?
Daddy John explained to Bowie that each color has a very special meaning:

Life is on Red because it represents the energy that our community has. It also represents the love we have for each other.
Healing: Orange represents the power of helping others through kindness and empathy. Healing others with love is the best medicine you can give away!
Sunlight: Yellow means "friendship and joy".
Yellow makes us feel happy and cheerful like when you play with your favorite toy!
Nature: We love and respect our environment. The color green is also the color of peace.
Serenity: The color blue represents the trust and respect we have for each other.
Spirit: Purple represents our magic! an unique magic that we all have inside of us. It also represents how fun we are!
As Bowie and his two dads walked the parade, they saw many families with their children waving rainbow flags.
“Daddy, can I have rainbow flag?” asked Bowie.
“Sure buddy, let’s see where we can get one for you!”
Bowie, Daddy, and Dadda were now on the search for a rainbow flag.
