Duke is a student at Fox Elementary School.

One day while Duke was walking in the hallway, another boy named Jake begin to tease him.

Hey cry baby. Where are your friends?

Why are you being mean to me? I don't think that is nice to say.

Because you're small and I am big. I have friends and you don't!

Not true! I have two friends named Mia and Ava. That is still not nice to say. You can hurt people feelings.

Well, I don't care. I like to hurt people feelings!

Duke went to his teacher, Ms. Ronald and explained what happened in the hallway.

Hey there Duke!

Ms. Ronald, someone was bullying me in the hallway.

Oh dear! Who was it? We will have to do something about this!

His name is Jake. He bullied me in the hallway and called me a crybaby. I wasn't even crying!

The next day, Ms. Roland spoke to the class about bullying.

Class, I want to talk with you about bullying. Bullying is when you hurt people feelings. You can hurt people's feelings by calling them names or teasing them.This can make them feel sad, bad about themselves, and sometimes angry.

If you have been teased, tell your teacher or parent. If you are teasing kids, please think about how you would like to be treated. We need to treat people fairly and nice.
