A very long time ago, there was a little boy named Julius.

Julius was just like all the other little boys and girls, but he had one very special talent: Julius could fly! All he had to go was go outside, wiggle his toes, and he would go up into the air where he could fly around like a bird or an airplane. Julius didn’t want anyone to know that he could fly, so he kept it a secret. He was worried that he might get in trouble for flying, or that people wouldn’t believe him, or that people would ask him to fly places and do things that he didn’t want to do. So, he kept his special talent  secret. The only person who knew that Julius could fly was his little sister Julia - and his pet dog, Starkist. Julius lived at home with his Mom and Dad, his little sister Julia and his pet dog Starkist.

Julius rescues Julia from the snow storm....

One day, Julius was at school listening to his teacher talk about math. Julius looked out the window of his classroom and he saw snow starting to fall. Julius loved snow, he loved building snowmen, riding down hills on his sled, throwing snowballs, and, of course, drinking hot chocolate after playing in the snow! Julius started paying attention to his teacher again, but a few minutes later there was an announcement from the school principal.

"Attention all students! Because of the snow, we are going to let everyone leave school early today. Please gather your things and go home now. "

All of the students cheered! Julius and his friends rushed out of the classroom and went to the playground. The snow was falling very fast and it was perfect for snowmen and snowballs. So Julius and his friends started to play and had a great time.

After a while, Julius noticed that the snow was piling up higher and higher. He was tired and starting to get cold. Julius decided to go home and warm up. He said goodbye to his friends and started to walk home. While he was walking, it started snowing more and more. Then the wind started and the snow began blowing around in the air. Julius could hardly see where he was walking!

After a few minutes, Julius arrived home and went inside. Starkist came up and gave him a big kiss. Julius called for his sister, “Julia! Where are you? I’m home!”. He didn’t hear an answer, so he yelled again. Still, there was no answer. Julius checked Julia’s room - she wasn’t there. He checked all over the house. He couldn’t find Julia anywhere! Then the phone rang and Julius picked it up.

"Hi Dad, Julius said.

Dad asked Julius if everything was ok and wanted to talk to Julia.

Julius said Julia wasn’t home yet, and Julius’ Dad started to worry.

"What do you mean, he asked. Where is she?"

Julius didn’t know, but now he was also starting to worry. The snow was very tall now and no cars were driving on the road.

"Don’t worry, Julius told his Dad. I’ll find Julia right now...I’m sure she’s just outside playing."

Julius hung up the phone and put his snow clothes back on. He had his jacket, snow pants, snow boots, hat, gloves, and scarf. He went back outside and started calling for Julia. He yelled as loud as he could, but he didn’t get an answer.

Julius knew what he had to do: he had to go flying to look for Julia. So Julius made sure no one was watching him, wiggled his toes and started flying up in the air!

Julius knew he had to look for Julia’s yellow backpack. It was very bright and she was the only little girl who had a backpack like that. Julius started to fly along the path they took to get school.

Maybe Julia was lost because of the snow. He had to find here.

There were no cars on the road and hardly anybody was on the street . There was too much snow! Julius scanned the roads and sidewalks, the parks and stores, but he didn’t see Julia.
