Elephant and Bear lived together in a beautiful apple orchard. Every day they picked apples together and argued. They disagreed about everything.

At lunch time, Elephant would insist that they eat peanut butter sandwiches, but Bear said that honey sandwiches were much better than peanut butter.

On warm, sunny days, Bear wanted to run up grassy hills and roll down to the bottom.

But Elephant wanted to go swimming.

One day, when the fighting had gotten to be too much, a little mouse hopped out from under one of the apple trees.
