One bright sunny morning Yang Yang the baby panda woke up from her bamboo bed.

Yang Yang the tiny, soft and fluffy bear stretches her arms and looks around. She stands up reaching only two feet tall. Her little black eyes look around and notices her bed is empty,

"I wonder where my mom is?" she thought. She waited for her mom to come back."Maybe she went out early to bring me some fresh bamboo?" she considered. She heard some unfamiliar voices.

Then, Yang Yang heard her mother screaming for help!"Mom! No, no, no," she thought " I am coming mom!" she cried.

She could no longer hear her mom crying out over the roaring car engine. Her mom's worst fear was imagining her baby terrified and alone, in the dark woods.

Yang Yang chased the truck all day. She was now tired. She found some berries and laid down.

When Yang Yang looked up at the stars she felt sad, but eventually she fell asleep.

Yang Yang woke up in the middle of the night, and followed the road.

Then, she saw the truck that had her mom. She then followed it until the zookeepers saw her.

The zookeepers put Yang Yang in the back of the truck, in a cage!
