Once upon a time, Masahiro Sakurai was set release the brand new "Super Smash Bros. 65" for the Nintendo Virtual Boy 2 by the end of the month.
He had just finished up the final touches on the game's final character, "Fortnite Default Avatar".









However, due to being on a bit of a budget and not thinking straight, he had to go online to get some "free v bucks" to have more access to Fortnite to round out default's move set.
However, Sakurai wasn't thinking when doing this and had entered in his credit card number to a shady website...
Little did Sakurai know what this mistake would do to him in the coming days...




...Did the actual Masahiro Sakurai just fall for my scam?

*INSERT SOMETHING EXPENSIVE HERE*
Wait a second, I don't remember buying this...
The next day, Sakurai noticed his credit card was charging stuff he never bought.
He became immediately suspicious of this and was about to report it.
However, before he called he decided to check Twitter, and...
...He found this on his account...
He never actually posted this...

After some thought and confusion, the recent tweet and the unknown spending on Sakurai's account lead him to the conclusion that his identity had been stolen.
Someone had gotten into his information and is using it for their own sake.
He also came to the conclusion of where his identity was stolen...
...It lead back to that free v bucks site we has on earlier






Upon this discovery, Sakurai had to do something.
So, he reported that site to Google and called his insurance agent in hopes that they'd do something so no one else would end up like him.
