This book is dedicated to my mother, the sweetest, most compassionate and sympathetic person in my life

Once upon a time, there was a dog called Lucky. Lucky lived with Old Man Robin in a lovely big house.
The house had woods right behind it, but Old Man Robin told Lucky to never go to the woods.

Lucky always obeyed Old Man Robin, so he never went farther than the fence. But, sometimes, he had a wild feeling, and he really really wanted to see the woods.
'Just a little peek,' he would beg Old Man Robin. But Old Man Robin always shook his head and said 'No, Lucky, never go to the woods.'

No, Lucky
One day, Lucky was playing in a field in front of his house, when a big animal that looked like a dog came.
'Who are you?' asked Lucky, staring at the animal.
'I am a wolf,' said the animal, 'I live in the Big Woods with my brother and sister.'
'In the woods!' Lucky said.
'Oh yes, it's a wonderful life,' said the wolf.

'What are you doing here, then?' asked Lucky.
'I was chasing a rabbit for my supper, and it came this way. It ran away, though,' said the wolf, 'I'm going back now. My name is Gray. Would you like to come with me?'
Lucky thought for a moment. 'No, thank you, Gray' he said, 'I mean, I want to come, but I can't. I'll follow you to the fence and then go back to Old Man Robin.'

Come with me!
Lucky and Gray walked to the fence.
'Are you sure you won't come?' asked Gray.
'Well.' Lucky thought for a moment. 'Well, I'll just go and see how life in the woods is like. After all, dogs are like wolves, and I am sure we used to live in the wild sometimes,' he said finally.

Are you coming?
Yes
'Follow me, then,' said Gray.
'Where are we going now?' asked Lucky.
'To my brother and sister. Come on, they will be so excited to see you!' said Gray, smiling at Lucky.
Lucky climbed over the fence, and the wolf jumped over. Lucky looked back at his house. 'Come on!' called Gray. Lucky looked away from the house and followed the wolf deep into the woods

'Look, there they are!' said Gray suddenly, 'Alpha! Fangs! Look who I brought!'
'Hello, Gray! Back already?' said Fangs.
'And who's this?' asked Alpha, smiling. Her gleaming white teeth shone.
Lucky trembled a little. 'My name is Lucky,' he said in a small voice.
'Welcome to our pack!' Fangs and Alpha smiled.

Lucky smiled and thanked them.
'Look, the moon is out!' said Fangs. Alpha pointed her nose to the moon and howled. Fangs and Gray joined her, and Lucky howled with them in his small, squeaky voice.
'Life here will be wonderful!' thought Lucky.
Three big wolves -and one little dog- curled up after a while and slept.
