Hi, my name is Lois and I have lived in Dali,China my whole life and then one day my dad said we are moving to America.

I was very scared because America was very far from China. I was also scared because I was going to a place where I didn't know anyone or how they do things.

So we got on the big plain and headed for America. It took us fourteen hours to get there. I was still so nervous.

When we got to our new home it was dark outside but we could see the stars in the sky. I had never seen stars.

When I woke up the next day I ran outside to play but my father stopped me. He said it was time for school. So I found my backpack and got on a big yellow bus to go to school.
