Her name was Princess Veronica

There once was a princess who was unlike many others. She was born on the first day of spring, which, in her own kingdom, was a sign of fierce intelligence and exceeding bravery.

She would sneak out of the castle and go into the woods to hunt and get away from the royalty surrounding her life.

One day, the princess was walking through the village, on her way to the forest to hunt, when she heard some of the children talking. She asked what was going on, and they told her about a prince who had been captured by an evil wizard.

She imagined what he was going through, and decided it must be horrible, so she chose to take on the challenge of rescuing him.

She left that night, hoping she could get out without being seen or heard. She left her crown on her bedside table, not wanting to take it with her if she did not make it back.

Not far along her journey, as she was traveling on a trail through the jungle, she came across a large patch of quicksand. She thought really hard, and decided the only way to get around it was to swing from tree to tree, hanging from the vines. She was so scared, as she had never done anything so dangerous before, and she certainly didn't want to tear up her beautiful dress. She finally got past all of the quicksand, and continued along her way.
