This book is dedicated to my Dad and Mamaw who love and spoil me so much. And to Poppy, who loves to make up stories for me.

Not so long ago in the sleepy little town of Croaker's Creek lived a cute little green tree frog by the name of Silver.

Now, Silver looked pretty much like all the other green tree frogs he knew. Like all frogs he had four toes on his front feet and five on the back. Silver had the same black and gold bugged-out eyes that all the other green tree frogs had. And his color, well, it was pretty much the same bright green as all the frogs who were in his class in frog school.

And he could blow his throat out really big and croak just as load as any frog his age.

But, sadly, unlike all of his frog friends, Silver could not swim, not even a little.

And it's not that he was scared of water. No, Silver loved the water. Water was so cool and refreshing. Water always made him feel so good.
But, every time he jumped into the deep creek water, he went straight to the bottom just kicking and squirming.

Poor Silver! Why couldn't he swim. Little Gary Gator could swim and if anything as ugly as a gator could swim, surely Silver should be able to.

And what about Henrietta Hippo. If anyone should sink to the bottom like a rock, surely Henrietta should.

But, not only could Henrietta swim on top of the water, she could even swim under it.
