To my science teacher...

Well hello kids, it's sandy again! YEE-HAA. Spongebob won't be able to join us today due to copyright reasons so bare with me.

Today, we will be learning about the Earth's atmosphere!

Our atmosphere is divided into four layers: the troposphere, the stratosphere, the mesosphere, and the thermosphere.

The troposphere is where weather occurs. It is where we live and where planes fly. It gets colder and colder as you go up...

...until you reach the stratosphere. It gets hotter and hotter as you go up because of the ozone layer.
The ozone layer helps protect us from harmful radiations from the sun.

Next layer we have is the mesosphere, which is very cold. It burns up meteoroids entering Earth.

Lastly, we have the thermosphere layer. Without this layer, we won't be able to see the beautiful aurora borealis. It also reflects long distance radio waves which helps us communicate with each other.

Thanks kids for reading! I'll see you next time!
