It was a roasting hot summer day. My friend Ben invited me to go boating at the lake in his big brother’s fancy boat. It sounded like a blast! I got in my bathing suit, lathered on some sun screen, and got in my car to drive to the lake to meet them there. I was looking forward to the day.

Some of my other friends decided to go boating with me and my family. The boat was filled to the brim with people. The water was freezing when you got in, but it felt good because it was so hot out. We swam for a while, it was fun! I was having a blast!

After we swam for a while and drove the boat around, our stomachs were grumbling. “I’m starving!" Ben’s cousin, Brandon, said. “Nice to meet you starving, I'm Ben!" Ben replied, laughing. "We brought lunch on the go, so we don't need to be hungry much longer!" He pulled a mini grill out from under the seat. He started grilling hotdogs and it smelled amazing. I got some cookies, chips, and hotdog buns out and started passing them around. Brandon got out some bottles of water. When the hotdogs were done cooking, we each ate one and they tasted amazing.

After lunch, Ben said, “Who’s ready to ski?” My friends like to do awesome tricks. They can water ski with lots of people at the same time. They also have a trick called the “Razzle Dazzle,” where they ski on one foot while holding the handle with their other foot. It is thrilling to watch! They can also make a tower of people on skis, too. Sometimes they face plant onto the water with a thud and it hurts. One time, Ben fell and hit his head so hard on the water that it popped his eardrum!
