Industriousness vs. Inferiority occurs in children between the ages of 5 to 12. This is the stage when children develop cognitive abilities to enable completing tasks. When the child has completed the work, the parents show no appreciation at all (showing no efforts or moral support) it effects a child's development causing them to feel less important and inadequacy.
