This book is dedicated to my godson, Alex. Always remember how mighty you are.

When I go to the dog park, over and over I hear, “Lali, you’re so short!” or “Lali, you’re so small!”
And you know what? I’m tiny, I know, but one day I’ll be tall!

I hatched a great plan so I’d soon be as tall as the treetops in the sky.
So big that the tallest dog at the park would barely reach my thigh.

I remembered my mommy told me that drinking milk makes you grow big and strong.
So I grabbed three bottles from the refrigerator and drank lots and lots of milk all day long.

But by the end of the day, my tummy was round and full and I was still the same height!
I needed something that worked really quickly, that would make me tall in just one night.

So I dug through the closet and soon found a pair of sparkly, red high-heeled shoes.
But once I slipped them on, they were too big for my feet and I almost fell and got a bruise!

I then ran to the bathroom and began to brush my fur straight up and stretch my ears as high as I could.
But I caught a glimpse in the mirror and realized I looked ridiculous! Nope, this idea was no good.

My brother, Savi, saw my frustration and offered to lend me a hand.
He said that he could come up with a fool proof plan.

I climbed on Savi’s back and wrapped a long coat around us so no one would notice my brother.
This plan was perfect, I can’t wait to show how tall I am to all the others.

We immediately went down to the dog park and all the other dogs stared at me in amazement.
“Oh my gosh, Lali, how did you get so tall?” “Oh you know, I’ve just been drinking milk and working out in my basement.”
My plan was working beautifully, I was finally tall.
And now that I was the talk of the park, I got the most attention of all.

Suddenly everyone turned because we heard a loud yelp.
And it was followed soon after by constant barking for help!

Bark! Help!
Bark!
