Once there lived a village and that village was under a volcano.That volcano hadn't erupted in awhile so the villagers thought they were safe.

Two girls,Sally and Jessie, looked from outside their window and shivered.Earlier they saw the volcano shaking, but when they told the villagers the villagers shook their heads,laughed, and told the girls ," Girls this volcano hasn't erupted in a 100 years.Are you crazy.It is not going to erupt again."

The girls tried and tried to convince the villagers that the volcano was going to erupt, but the villagers didn't believe them.Then the earth under the girls and villagers shook.

Right away the villagers got scared. The earth continued rumbling and ash from the volcano filled the sky.

In the back of the volcano lava started flowing.The girls quickly gathered all the villagers with shovels and told them to dig from the volcano a passage to the river.
