I dedicate this book to Ethan Nunnery

Edith Wharton was born on January 24, 1862.
She grew up in New York where she was educated by private tutors and governesses. Ethan Frome is her most famous work. She died on August 11, 1937.
Although most books are banned for sexual or violent content; Ethan Frome has no obscene language, drug abuse, or even violence. The book was banned by several organizations due to the scene depicting an attempted suicide. The book also focuses heavily on adultery.
Although the book was challenged, it is still a great story and I recommend it. There are a couple of grammatical errors, but the imagery is on point. The story being told in also very intriguing and keeps you wanting to know what is going to happen next.
The book has been adapted into a 1993 film titled Ethan Frome. In the movie, the narrator is a minister whereas in the book he is a mechanic. Many scenes from the book are left out in the movie such as Hale and Zeena.
