In a very far away village, many years ago, there was an Opossum. Her name was Pearl.

Pearl had just moved to a new house in DogVille.

"Time for school,Pearl!" her mom yelled out from another room.

"I don't want to go. I am scared! I don't have any friends, yet."

Pearl begged and begged, but when her mom did not budge she finally agreed to go to school.

Pearl went on her way and she was extremely nervous. She was very distracted by the thought of making new friends at school.

Pearl heard some dogs talking about their classes, she wanted to join them but instead she just kept walking towards the school.

By the time Pearl got to school, she was ready to make new friends.

She introduced herself to a small group of dogs.

"Hey guys, my name is Pearl. I am new to this school. Can we be friends?"

They replied, "Yes! Welcome to the DogVille School, friend!"

One of the dogs, Pluto, invited Pearl to play with the rest of them during recess.

"Of course, I would love to play with you!" replied Pearl. They played together the whole time and had so much fun!

When it was back to go back to class, Pearl and Pluto were sad because they could no longer play

together.

They said goodbye and

went back to their classrooms.

While Pearl was walking back home, she reflected on how her

day went. She made a new

friend!

She could not wait to get home

so she could tell her mom

all about her super-duper exciting day!

Pearl was so distracted on her

way home, she got lost! She did not know how to get home!

She found a path that led her to place she had never been to. She never even knew about this strange place.
