The ocean is vast enough to see beyond the heavens.

The sea is big enough to hold the souls of angels.

However,

there was one soul that felt there was more to see above the water.  

As a young fisherman, I never believed the tales of the magic hidden beyond the crashing waves. "Captain Daniels, you should call yourself Captain Denial!" Exclaimed my crew. " My men, how could you believe what you cannot see? It's time to see that all there is in these waters is trout and kelp." 

Then one night I heard a disturbing scream in my nets.

I found her hidden by the shore. Her eyes were of no other, every color imaginable bursting out!

Her skin was one of scales and in the cracks harbored a shimmer as bright as the sun.

"Do not fear me. I've traveled far to be here!" I turned to face her, and to my astonishment, she was no demon but an angel. Skin that glowed with warmth. And hair that flowed like the sea in low tide. "I came to live in tranquility. In exchange for peace I will tell you the wonders I have seen across the world."

"How could this be?" I wondered. I agreed, and

we sat by the rocks as she began her story.

"My name is Ophelia.

I come from a land far beyond the eyes of man."

"When I was young, my home was a peaceful place. However, when the Sailors of Atkin came to invade our lands, we lost all hope of survival."

"Only a child I was sent to your world. A world where I was told that I could find a new home. I was terrified of being alone, but there was no longer a kingdom to call home. I had to find my own in yours." 

I arrived in a land named Asia.

It was here that I would explore it's countries; Japan, China, and finally Indonesia.

When I came to China I stayed in Hangzhou. This is the capital of the Zehjiang Province.

Here I met my friend Jie Fu Chong, together we harvested silk in his families farms. Silk is the most important business in China!

Hangzhou carries the West Lake of China. This lake is said to have inspired poets and artists for centuries.
