Jane Austen (16 Dec 1775 - 18 July 1817) was an English novelist known primarily for her six major novels, which interpret, critique and comment upon the British landed gentry and the dependence of women on marriage in the pursuit of favourable social standing and economic security.

Elizabeth Barrett Browning

Elizabeth Barrett Browning (6 March 1806 - 29 June 1861) was an English poet of the Victorian era, popular in Britain and the United States during her lifetime.

Her work had a major influence on prominent writers of the day (E.A. Poe, E. Dickinson).

Poems: "How do I love thee?", "Aurora Leigh" and etc.

William Blake

William Blake (28 Nov 1757 - 12 Aug 1827) was an English poet, painter, and printmaker. Largely unrecognised during his lifetime, Blake now is considered a seminal figure in the history of the poetry and visual arts of the Romantic Age.

Blake was influenced by the ideas of French and American Revolutions.

Charlotte Bronte

Charlotte Bronte (21 April 1816 - 31 March 1855) was an English novelist and poet, the eldest of the three Bronte sisters who survived into adulthood and whose novels became classics of English literature.

Charlotte was a governess for her younger sisters Emily and Ann.
