In the white sands of New Mexico, lives a small kangaroo rat. He always avoided contacting other kangaroo rats because of what they might ask.

He felt he had the right to everything he owned, no matter what.

That was until a fighter jet fell from the sky, from a nearby base.

The pilot came out safely, but was very hungry. The kangaroo rat had just noticed him in the distance.

The pilot came to him and asked for his help. "I'm hungry and thirsty! Can I please have a peanut?"

The kangaroo rat was not pleased with the request.

"WHY WOULD I GIVE YOU MY PEANUTS? I found it first. Fair and square." The kangaroo rat reacted.

"What do I get in return?"

The fighter pilot replied, "Look, I'm starving. I am sure I can give you a reward."

"You know what, fine. You can have ONE peanut." The kangaroo rat emphasized.
