Once upon a time, in Los Angeles, California on June 12, 2000 a girl and a boy named Emily and Bob and there dog named boxer, were abandoned when there mom and dad were killed by terrorists. They became homeless at the age of 10 and 12. Bob was 12 and Emily was 10.

Even though Emily was younger she acted as the "big sister". She was more mature than Bob. Bob was scared of everything. Emily and Bob were born in India.

Before Emily and Bob's parents died they moved to the USA in Los Angeles. They had been living there for 17 years before Emily and Bob were born. There parents went back to India on a business trip. But unfortunately their job facility was attacked by a bomb.

Emily and Bob's grandparents lived in India. In order to get there they had to walk. Their grandparents did not have phones, so there was no easier way to get to them in India, they are only 10 and 12 so they can't work and they don't know where their passports are. Even if they did they are not 18 so they would not be able to get anywhere.

This long trip will cause Emily and Bob to do unlawful things because they don't have any money. They need a compass, 2 coats, gloves, food, socks, hats,wood for a fire, a map, a boat, a phone and dog food. Don't forget about their dog, boxer.

Emily stole all of what they needed. Bob stayed quiet, and because he was so in love with boxer he spent most of his time taking care of him. Bobs birthday was coming up on July 27 so Emily stole a cake as well.
