One day, a scientist was looking through his microscope and decided that he wanted to see the cells up close in order to understand them better.
He had heard of this new technology that can shrink you down into the size of a cell. He knew that it would be perfect for his experiment!

He decided to begin his adventure with the animal cell!
He first entered the cell through the cell membrane.

Amazing! This is what controls the movement of material in and out of the cell!

When he entered the cell, he saw the centriole.
Unbelievable! This is the part of the cell that helps with cell division.
He then noticed the cytoskeleton of the cell.

This is so interesting! This is the network of proteins that provide structure and movement inside the cell.
The next thing he saw was the mitochondria.

The powerhouse of the cell! This is the site of cellular respiration
He then entered the golgi body. This packages, sorts, and distributes material from the ER to other parts of the cell or outside the cell. He went through the organelle like a slide!

This is so much fun!
